Description
We are looking for a Server Administrator who can problem solve on Linux web servers, windows 2003 servers, network devices, hardware maintenance, building new servers, installing network devices.
Essential Job Functions:
- Work with Programming team to build necessary servers in VMWare environment.
- Diagnose and repair network issues at the physical layer.
- Write and test shell/Perl scripts for Linux environment
- Work under pressure
- Solve LDAP, Windows DNS, DHCP, and other protocol issues
- Work with Active Directory configurations.
- Work with server AV
- Administer VMWare (ESX) machines.
- Issue complete instructions in HOWTO's, etc
- Be able to work odd hours when necessary.
- Able to use Nagios and other management/monitoring tools, like SNMP.
- Follow directions the first time given
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3-8 years experience with Linux / Unix
- 2 + years experience with Windows servers
- Experience with Active directory, networks, Microsoft sql & anti viruse
Recommended Skills and Experience:
- Experience working in a high traffic, e-commerce environment
- Experience in a database environment with over 150 web servers
- Experience with ColdFusion, Java, and JavaScript
